Crumbs, it really has been a while since I last blogged and it seems like a lot has happened too! My little sister arrived on the 28th December to glorious Melbourne weather and a great big hug from both of us. I had been so looking forward to seeing her, I couldn't stop smiling. The next morning as I was making her breakfast I was thinking silly things like "My little sister's here and I get to make her brekkie!" Time with her went all too quickly but I'm glad she didn't ...
Right up until Christmas morning neither of us were feeling particularly Christmassy. I think the fact that we were doing things so out of routine and that it was warm and sunny was also an issue too. Mind you the rain that began on Thursday and lasted well into the weekend should have made us feel a bit more normal. Our neighbours were lovely on Christmas Eve - they came down and had drinks and a barbie with us. All of them said how nice it was to be sharing part of our first Aussie ...

I went out and bought a tree and decorations last weekend in a bid to make me a bit more festive but it isn't working yet. I do like the idea of solar powered santas and snowmen though - perhaps get ...
Another busy week has gone by for the Broughtons and here I am, it's Monday morning, the phone hasn't rung so I don't have any work for today so I plan to enjoy a lazy day with Mr B (who also doesn't have any work today). For those of you unaware, tomorrow is Melbourne Cup day (a big horse race) and it's a public holiday. Lots of businesses and schools also close down for the Monday and have an extra long weekend. Last week was a tough one. I finally got the last of our suitcases unpacked ...
