    Hi
My oh would love to have his question answered as we've tried ringing tafe institute a number of times and not been successful in finding the correct info. My oh is a project engineer (electrical/automation)in uk. He applied to the tra and they passed his work as an electrician (special class). The tra informed us that he needed to obtain an artc in order to work in australia. In order to get this and a licence you need the certificate 3 wiring regs course. We've been told from the tafe NSW that a special class electrician isn't eligible for enrolment on the cert 3 course. So how does he get a licence (to work unsupervised). Please can anyone answer this question as we are stuck?
We've read some other blogs from electricians which were really helpful, but we haven't found any info to answer this question.

Thanks thanks and thanks again, Wendy

Sorry I made a mistak. I've now put it in the forum. Wendy
