Well after speaking to a migration agent it seems we could have been setting ourselves up for a sharp fall!
If John did the NVQ he wouldn't be able to claim for his previous building experience as they would take his experience from the date of the new qualification!
Well all is not lost as it seems we still have a good chance without the NVQ.
Im glad I found this out now and not once it was already done and irreversible....

I've started my process (applied to Vetassess) in the mid of December'11. Application has reached their office on 20th December'11. They have acknowledged a receipt of the same and have marked payment as received on 13th January'12.

What if I get my + ve assessment before May'12 and apply for SS there and then. If I get my SS befor June'12 it is all good, what if I do not gt my SS (or for that matter
Has anyone immigrated to oz then came back to uk and now going back again?? I Have an Permanent Residency RRV Visa but my new partner hasn't been to oz but I want to go back I really miss it and life in UK is like groundhog day.(Lived there for 5 years got back 2 and half years ago) Im worried cause I just don't want to go back to oz then regret it as its a massive move etc. Was living in Gold Coast/Brisbane now thinking of Sydney or Perth - any advice or if anyone has a similiar story this would
20-01-12 Good news today John had a phone call to confirm that he can book his place for NVQ Level 2 in bricklaying in Feb. This is done over a weekend and he will also have his cscs blue card. Even better was the news that it is fully funded so we don't have to pay the £995 more money saved for the Oz Fund!!
