Brown family journey

Hi all,

Not sure if many of you will remember any of my original posts, but I thought I would start a blog to help others going throught the same journey!

We are on a temporary 2 year Student Visa as OH is on the bricklaying course in Nambour that started in June this year. On the student visa you do have to be self sufficient for two years which means paying schiool fees for children/college fees etc etc.

We have bough a house at auction in Mountain Creek...

massage therapist

hi guys this is my first blog, can anybody help me, i want tto get in to australia as a massage therapist is nvq3 the same as a australian diploma, if anybody cud answer this for me id be delighted, thank u

Panic seems to have set in for the male half of the Broughton partnership. The hugeness (is that a word) of what we have done / are currently doing has just begun to hit home for Michael. Everything has been going really well - cars sorted, bank account done, tax file numbers and drivers licences received and medicare registered for. Then just as we should be celebrating getting a rental Mr B starts worrying that we're in over our heads and questionning whether we can actually afford to be here....

Our Journey (from Dec 2005)

December 2005-We (hubby, me and 2 kids aged then 10 & 6) went for a holiday to Perth WA for a month. Had a whale of a time doing the beaches, wildlife parks, stayed at Hillarys, had bbq's etc visited Sydney wher ehubby did the Bridge walk whilst I firmly kept my feet on the ground and opted to viit an oddity known as a duck-billed platypus in the aquarium!..Jan 2006 land back at Birmingham,..Life back on arrival in the UK suddenly feels dreary and we begin to feel very unsettled. The story so far....

Well, the story so far has been a bit of a bumpy ride. We (myself, wife Nicky, and 3 boys all under 5) were granted our 137 (STNI) visas in March and have been making efforts to get over to Australia since then.

I work as a Software Developer and Nicky is a Nurse. We have been planning this move since 2003. Nicky only worked part time so we had to apply for a visa under my name. We were lucky enough to be sponsored by the Victorian government under the STNI scheme which meant that...
