OMG Have we been here 6 Months already???

It has just dawned on us that we have been living and breathing in OZ for 6 months - where has the time gone??
Where are we now in life? Well we have settled in Redcliffe, and can't imagine living anywhere else. It still brings goosebumps to walk along the beach front, and realise that this is home. We have made friends with 'real' Aussies, and have been nicknamed the Waussies due our Welsh accents.
We're both working, and manage to work the same shifts as much as we can, so we travel to work together, and have same days off. Mike is full time and I am part time but both in Royal brisbane hospital, on different wards. Sometimes it does feel like all work and no play when it comes to the shift work, but hopefully that will settle eventually.
We have our first visitors from UK arriving in 3 weeks, and they're here for a month. We can't wait to show them around to all the sights.
So what are our future plans??
Mike has spoken to his bosses and they have offered us PR sponsorship in a few months. So our application will be in and hopefully on our 1 year anniversary - we will have PR. Mike has already had promotion, so think he's doing well and enjoying work - the wages are pretty good too.
We've been completely confused by salary sacrifice and medicare as it's all Alien to us. But the fog is clearing and hopefully we'll get our heads around it all soon.
Well off to work again - No rest for the Wicked.
