Matt's dad died at the weekend and although he was ill we still thought he would bounce back, so we are all in shock at the moment.
The family told us that they had arranged a surprise party for us on the 9 December and did we think it should still go ahead.
We have decided that although there will be so much emotion we want it to happen mainly because Matt's dad was helping to arrange it and had given the DJ a list of funny Australian style songs to play. He was a fantastic man...

Hi all
Thanks for all your messages of support, they were comforting and I was getting on ok. Now Matt's dad has had a stoke, he can't talk or move one side of his body, we don't know at this stage if he will get better.
Everyone is asking if we are still leaving in December (flights booked 26 Dec) at the moment Matt does not want to think about it and is concentrating on his dad, so i don't have a clue whats going to happen at the moment, all i do know is this must be the biggest draw...

I have been wanting to write about our story of going to Australia for ages but never seem to have time, we have 13 weeks to go and loads to sort out still.
I couple of weeks ago i found out i was pregnant, big shock but me and Matt were over the moon, we knew it would be challenging arriving in December, very hot, finding house, cars, schools etc being 5 months pregnant but we do like a challenge so we were very excited.
