Well I am a bit p...ed of tonight as I failed my driving test this morning (again). I hoped that I would pass as I really don't know what the situation with learner drivers is in Perth but I guess I'll be able to find out and if I have to have lessons over there then so be it. It would be so nice though to have a uk licence and just exchange it. I just wish I could control my test nerves as that is all that holds me back. Worse thing is I had the 'perfect' lesson prior to my test The trouble with me is I am what you may call a more 'mature' learner than most having left it late to learn to drive. Well by the age of 40 you have a very defined sense of mortality don't you so I am a bit of a panicker and not at all good with test situations.
Anyway enough of that at least no one died! I am busy getting holiday arrangements in place at the moment as we will be flying on Monday evening to Perth via Dubai from Birmingham.I've had onfirmation/directions to the holiday let and I've ordered the dollars from the post office. The woman has assured me that they will arrive for the weekend despite the strikes! Have to go and buy a suitcase tomorrow and make a start on the packing.On top of this we have just had confirmation from the solicitors that the land registry documents have been received so they are able to start putting the draft contracts together for our buyers-its all go. I'm just hoping now that nothing 'important' happens with the house whilst we are away.
