well, what a weekend! Had our farewell party on Saturday night and it was great. We had a great turnout at our local footie club (about 100 people + kids). It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, just turning up to say bye. There were a few who said that they had turned up just to make sure we'd gone (good friends obvioulsy) Bestest friends came round after our 'do' and we stayed up until 7am drinking and talking. Severe hangovers were the order of the day on the Sunday and most of Monday was spent feeling dreadful too!
So now its Tuesday and I'm sitting here in a rented house in a kind of limbo surrounded by good luck cards. Had my mum round this morning, shes not at all okay about us leaving and doesn't really say too much about it.I feel so guilty every time I see her but what can I do, I have to do whats right for my family. It is a really weird feeling at the moment, being surrounded by good luck card having booked flights and accommodations. I still don't think its sunk in that in a couple of weeks we will be leaving forever.
