Wow where did that go!!!! the plan was to keep his blog going but only now am I ready to put it down. The Goodbyes can never be planned nothing prepares you for the mix of emotions the excitement the fun the guilt and despair the nerves then the excitement again it was the hardest few days we had felt as a family. But still walked through that departure gates without looking back just ready to start our Aussie life.
Arriving was like arriving on holiday seeing family was great catching up...

Well had a month living at my mums, glad we stayed at work until the very end or the wait would have felt like forever. Kids have had a great time with the grandparents good quality time. The goodbyes have started and nothing prepares you at all, some are ok but the ones you know will be hard are!!!! We have spent more time with people and done more in the last month than we would in 6 months and i think that makes it harder to leave in the end. I am questioning taking the kids from these people...

Got up really early today to get ready for the shippers, thing is cant do anything more so sat waiting. Out of all the things weve done even selling the house this is where it has become real for me. Sending our stuff on ahead and having flights booked doesnt come much more real than getting on the plane. Havent sent furniture mainly Martins tools, kids toys and few boxes of sentimental, will be good to have a few familiar things in our new home. Think weve put some added pressure on us going...

Have spent the last week sorting the house, we have piles to ship, piles to take in suitcase and lots of things we just 'got rid of' Sent lots to the charity shops and lots to the skip. Finally feeling a bit more sorted. Shippers come Wednesday and we leave the house Friday. And that is another stage done.
Next stage a month at my parents which the kids will love and then the fly the 2nd May.

All the stuff like applying for the visa, medicals more paperwork. Getting the visa even selling the house all seemed to fit into place.
