Here 3 months

Wow where did that go!!!! the plan was to keep his blog going but only now am I ready to put it down. The Goodbyes can never be planned nothing prepares you for the mix of emotions the excitement the fun the guilt and despair the nerves then the excitement again it was the hardest few days we had felt as a family. But still walked through that departure gates without looking back just ready to start our Aussie life.
Arriving was like arriving on holiday seeing family was great catching up and getting over the jetlag. Then the lists started finding a house, getting a car, tax file number, schools, all those things that we knew we would have to do but doing it all seemed abit unreal.
Everything slotted into place and all in all met friendly helpful people along the way everyone wishing us luck etc.
The kids were on holiday we made sure they enjoyed all the positives like the beach and swimming all those promises about Australia had to be made real to a 7 and 5 year old.
Moving in to our rental was at first like camping with no furniture and takeaways most nights it was still like a holiday.
All that and only a week had passed.......
Next stage the big one, the kids started school, looking great in their new uniform and really excited both went in very happy what a relief. Over the weeks my 7 year old had his ups and downs we had tears and homesickness all of which were the hardest moments but lots of reassurance he seems to have settled a bit. My little one has loved Kindy from the start she is enjoying her Aussie life and has the accent to go with it. All for now mor to post later , work,cars,bills and visitors!!!
