Now that the excitement of getting visas has died down, we need to sell the house. The next stage of the journey. Had estate agent round on Thursday 19th June and it is now on the internet for sale!!!! We don't expect a rush of viewers but are looking forward to hopefully getting some soon. We've booked flights (return) on 30 March 09 to go and validate the visas and won't come back if we sell the house in the meantime. Got home after being out for the day shopping having not checked my emails before going out (lost interest in that malarky lately). Turned on computer on return at around 5pm and THERE IT WAS - VISA HAS ARRIVED on the sly without so much as a warning!!!!!

Well that was it - once I had stopped screaming and running around the house, rang OH who was on way home from taking an exam (which he passed) - all hell let loose in our house that night.

Well the medicals went off without any hitches (19 March). Rang Sydney 2 weeks ago to see if OK and they are all passed so that is a relief. Now the wait for the Police checks carries on. Eventually received 3 of us but no check for husband after 42 days. Next day husband's arrives so posted off to Agent. Now we just sit and wait. Hope it won't be much longer then the stress of selling the house. It is like a never ending catalogue of stressful episodes. Just hope it is all going to be worth...

Well we had the medicals done yesterday. Me, hubby, Harry (18) and Sophy (21).

This was the one part I had been dreading as I am a bit overweight for my height but it went OK. Now we just have to sit and wait (again) to see what happens. With any luck we may have a visa by July then we have a year to get our act together and sell the house and get ready to jet off for our new life.

My daughter says she isn't going to come with us she wants to stay here so that is going...
