Bankruptcy in UK effects in OZ

Hi there
Everything that I have read so far on the subject of migration, from official sites to forums like this one, and bearing in mind I am not an expert on the subject, I believe the financial aspect of any applicant is viewed this way by authorities in OZ:

1) So long as you have no criminal record in fraud, or financial deceits where you tried to obtain or gain financial rewards by breaking the law, you are going to be fine.

2)Your credit rating in UK is irrelevant in OZ. I think they don't make the link. Unless, you're with HSBC or UK banks, and potentially, they could. But the bottom line, you're credit history remains on these shores.
3) I think you're able to apply for mortgages almost immediately, specially if you have substantial depositi behind you. Otherwise, you'll need references from your OZ employer. And you'll need an OZ bank account.

I am pretty much sure that I am close to the facts but if anyone else can help (and rectify my info) please do so.
