So just waiting now but getting quite excited too and have put house on the market and panicking about what to do with the cat??? Already deciding where we would like to live in Brisbane (yes we've decided Brizzy coz its hot and thats all I have to go on about it, so any tips about best suburb to bring up children pref. near beach, able to walk to school, parks etc plus OH who is a carpenter be able to get work too! Received email today from our consultant, after just a couple of days ago saying "yep, yep all seems to be in order with your visa application just final checks to confirm". 'Great we're thinking, then due to recent change kev has lost 5 points which make the visa invalid but to rectify this he can take an English Speaking examination! Is this world gone mad we're born and bred in england got the birth certificates, addresses, references the lot! So after calming down, kev now has to go to Portsmouth to take an exam which apparently have spaces nxt week so assuming he passes (I know but the last time him or I took and exam was 20years ago, nerves etc) exam cert can be downloaded over net which they will then submit our application!!!

Sorry had to get that off my chest, I do realise these tests are important but we were so close and now have had to take a little step back to do a little more waiting!! Oh well still staying positive and do have small matter of house to sell so no great hurry yet I guess!!!

Thanks 4 listening!!

Lisa

I'm in exactly the same situation! In fact I'm taking the IELTS in Portsmouth next Saturday. I'm booked onto the academic test as there were no spaces for the General. What a pain it is - and you're right, just because I'm english doesn't mean I'm not nervous about failing! Maybe I'll see your husband there!
