• Boomers Aimin' 4 Oz!!!!!

    G'day/Hello Everyone!

    I'm Lisa age 34, OH Kev age 40 and two kiddiwinks Jasmin age 10 plus Callum age 8! Phew that was easy been dying to write something to introduce ourselves, OH behind me saying go on, go on write something, make contact! Well now I have and I feel very good about it!

    Anyway, we are in the process of applying through ASA and hopefully they are just about to forward our visa application (after months of tracking down paperwork!!!) So just waiting now but getting quite excited too and have put house on the market and panicking about what to do with the cat??? Already deciding where we would like to live in Brisbane (yes we've decided Brizzy coz its hot and thats all I have to go on about it, so any tips about best suburb to bring up children pref. near beach, able to walk to school, parks etc plus OH who is a carpenter be able to get work too! Would be really helpful and welcoming!)

      I'M SITTING AT COMPUTER ON THE EVE OF MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY (CAN'T BELIEVE ITS 11 YEARS FEELS MORE LIKE 21 BLESS HER!!!) GOING FOR XRAYS ON WEDNESDAY REALLY NERVOUS ABOUT THAT PLUS MEDICALS NEXT WEEK, SO IN ALL GLAD WHEN THATS OVER!!!       At last,

      Finally after alot of money,frustration,time,and 6 months of headaches,our agent has lodged our application online today!!!!!!!!God were they thorough!Only meds and PC's to do.Meds booked for next month as our daughter is 11 on the 20th so to avoid chest X-ray confusion we are booked for 23rd.
      I dont actually think, apart from maybe the colour of my unerpants,there is anything they dont know about us!
      And dont get me started on the bloody ielts test.I had to sit ...

      I'm so sorry about the title, i'm so mullered and desperate to be in oz!!! Bring on the medicals ha ha!!!!
      If any of you musicians are out there i realised the title was wrong ( my OH is in a great rock band, no one famous though!!!) xxxx

      Well bloomin hell what a week!!! OH took ielts test, academic one, bloody surprisingly hard was his words!!!! Did this last saturday will have to wait 13 days for results but with postal strike I guess 2 months!!! Hi to Linda in Bognor and Tammy 9in bloody lovely Brisbane, im sorry ive had a drink or two and my typing has gone to pop!!! "Waiting for results then visa will be posted!!! Ive written this several times and so mullered my hands are getting tired!!! good luck everybody you timewasting ...

      Received email today from our consultant, after just a couple of days ago saying "yep, yep all seems to be in order with your visa application just final checks to confirm". 'Great we're thinking, then due to recent change kev has lost 5 points which make the visa invalid but to rectify this he can take an English Speaking examination! Is this world gone mad we're born and bred in england got the birth certificates, addresses, references the lot! So after calming down, kev now has ...
