Right so this is it. We're actually off this evening flying from heathrow at 10pm.... very excited.

We've spent the week checking where our container is, finding out about the route it is going on and when it is actually likely to arrive which will be long after christmas so we'll probably be sitting on the floor eating camp style for a while.

Right now we're chewing our fingers waiting for it to be something approaching a sensible time to leave for the airport. ...

Well with who knows what going on in the money markets today the interbank rate reached an absolutely staggering 2.7 at its top end. I rather jammily managed to get in when it was at 2.64 and bought at the rate of 2.59 (phew !)

Anyway, thought it was a good time to outline some info about banks and money transfer.

Our house now well and truly smells of jeyes fluid.. nice !.

We've spent the weekend cleaning, painting and disinfecting our garden tools. Overall its a good job but a frustratingly slow and smelly one.

We've also managed to sort out the hand tools into two tool boxes and finish off emptying out the shed and loft of items for the tip.

The next few weekends will be taken up with the vitally important jobs of meeting up with friends and other house ...

Well what a week it has been, absolutely non stop.

We had a couple round for their second viewing on the house on Wednesday, so Tuesday evening was taken up cleaning and tidying to make the house look its absolute best hoping that they would like it, and HOORAY they did.

They put an offer in on Thursday which after a bit of wrangling we accepted. Instructed the solicitors the same day and hopefully things will now be moving through. The buyers don't have anywhere to ...

Well its friday afternoon and I'm officially winding up to the weekend !
