So ... our Australian swap mates have arrived and very nice they are too - either that or they have great acting skills. Hopefully all is going well for them on their first day in Wales as it is raining yet again.......

Meanwhile, we had a happy night at my mums and are compensating ourselves for the inconvenience by eating a lot of cake in cafes - have to stop that, this was meant to be a cost cutting excercise after all. Maybe just one more slice of double chocolate fudge cake and then I'll take up veganism with a passion.

Next stop, the Shropshire borders and the pod - camping. I did wonder if pods might take off in Australia, offering us cheap accomodation and avoiding the need for all this house swapping, but when I googled 'pod camping' au all I got was something about portable offices and a lot of photographs of dolphins. I suppose given the unfortunate regularity of bush fires, wooden camping pods would be something of a hard sell in NSW ...........
