The beginning of my story.

This won't be an exciting post as I'm still getting the hang of it, but here is the background info :)

My name is Erin and I'm 21 years old. By day I'm an Instrumentation Engineer, the rest of the time I like to think I'm a photographer.

I live with my parter/other half (which I have recently spotted abbreviated to OH on here :P). We've been together 5 years this year and things are fine and dandy. An idea we've always shared is to live in Australia. It's just an ideal, it might never happen, but we can dream right?
This dream of ours was only strengthened when a family friend returned home for a trip four years after they emmigrated to Oz. The lifestyle they were describing was the lifestyle we wanted.

Now don't get me wrong we've got it good Steven and I. We've worked hard and having both just turned 21 I think we have a fair bit to show for ourselves. We aren't rich, we aren't struggling, we're plodding along happily.

We both agree that as much as we appreciate what we have and where we are in our lives, we are by no means ready to accept this as 'our lot'.

So after 2/3 years of saying 'Yeah we'd like to live in Oz and we're definitley going to travel there before we decide' but never actually doing it. We have begun our savings plan to get us on our way as of Christmas 2013!!


So I think I'll blog the planning of the trip. Then I'll blog the trip. Then I'll blog the next one, and the next one.

Maybe one day I'll blog the move.
