Hi......well I don't really know where to begin??
my brain is rather frazzeled at all the info available on moving to Oz it seem's to me that it is all very scarey and confusing!!! Supposed I'd best start at the begining, who I am my family etc.My husband has always wanted to escape North Wales (don't blame him really but Oz thought he ment Cornwall or Scotland ???) He has been offerred a job in Townsville, Queensland, he's a brickie, I am a teaching assistant and we have 4 kids 2 boys (15,2) and 2 girls (12,6) oh an a gorgeous blond lab called Alice. I am absolutely petrified coz my husband and our eldest son are going in March and I will follow like a typical Welsh Sheep
I have a million and 1 questions that I'd like to ask any 1 who is kind enough to reply. Please don't be shy contact me, before I end up in the local psychatric ward with Ozpsychosis??

Hi, what sort of questions have you got Jo? I'm fairly new to this site but I've been looking into moving to Oz with my boyfriend and our chocolate Labrador Lola for over a year now so know a bit about the process. I've got family in Melbourne who are going to sponsor us - we're hoping to go to Queensland and will start the visa process via an agent at the end of Jan (when we've got some money back in the bank after Christmas and a fairly hefty vet's bill!)

Hi. What do you want to know?
We are just about to go- hopefully by end of May just waiting to complete house sale. We used an agent who helped us every step of the way but I also became pregnant during the application which slowed the whole process down by several months. The whole application took almost 2 years in the end. You will not be able to proceed with medicals whilst pregnant due to the X-rays. We also have a sponsor in NSW who was worth 15points to us (I think)- we are going to QLD. If you have any particular questions I can try and answer. Good luck Debi ![]() |
