oooh one week til our first visitors!!

Well the time has nearly arrived!! My parents are coming to stay woohoo!
Can't believe how quickly it's come around, but this time next week they will be here! There's so much to organise, make sure we've got enough sheets, towels, toiletries, food.... aargh! Then I've got to make sure everywhere is clean and presentable haha!
It's going to be the first time they have met Daniel my boyfriend so that will be interesting, I'm sure they'll get along fine (fingers crossed!) We're taking a trip up to Brisbane to meet Dan's parents (first time I'll have met them!
) so hopefully that will go well, getting pretty nervous now!!
It'll be nice to have a break though, we have so much planned, climbing the harbour bridge, trip to Airlie Beach, Taronga Zoo, the Opera House etc etc all the touristy stuff!
They are so excited bless them, they've never been to Oz before so I hope they love it. They're bringing me some supplies, Bisto powder and granules, Galaxy chocolate, Paxo... I'll be stocked up! Also loads of birthday cards and christmas presents apparently their suitcases are going to be pretty full!
Well sorry for rambling just though I would share my excitement (and nerves!) with you all!

I bet your well excited seeing your parents again next week. Have a fab time, sounds like you've got it well planned/organised. Good luck with your 'in-laws' too, I'm sure they'll love ya.

wooohoo yeh can't wait to climb the bridge! Unfortunately it will only be my Dad and me as my Mum's a bit of a scaredy cat (plus would probably struggle with two fake hips!) and Dan's not bothered. A bit of Father-Daughter bonding methinks!
And thanks for the vote of confidence with the in-laws guys!! How could they not love me...?  |

Suggestions for places to take visiting parents [based on feedback from my mum and dad's visit]:
Ferry trip to Manly or Watsons Bay (and the Gap) Train trip out to Katoomba or Leura for morning tea at the Olde Worlde Paragon Tea Rooms. Yum Cha (Dim Sim) in Chinatown resaurant [for the adventurous - otherwide pie and peas at Harrys Cafe de Wheels!] The walk from Bondi to Bronte [or vice versa] is always a winner. |
