another wet and miserable bank holiday!

Hi folks, this is my first blog and all I really want to do is have a moan. It's bank holiday monday, its cold, wet and the kids (and me) are bored stiff. And OH wonders why I want to move to oz. I know it's been pretty wet in Perth recently, but at least the rest of the time, the weather is good!

I do have a small glimmer of hope though. Even though OH has said that no decision is being made until we visit his brother in December (sydney) he does seem to be slowly coming around to the idea of life in Australia. We have booked tickets to the thinking australia seminar in Bristol in July, and he even asked me to apply for a job for him, that we spotted on one of the oz jobsites. He has been talking to a fella in work, whose son is working in the mines and earning a small fortune. I know OH can't work in the mines as he is not skilled in that dept, but they still need transport and freight and that is his job, so he said to keep an eye out. I don't need asking twice!!

This crappy weather really makes me wish we were there, and it's not just the weather, but it does make all the difference to the lifestyle and to the kids lives. They are nagging to go out on their bikes, but it is peeing down, no they have no chance. And I feel so bad saying no. Well best get the tumble dryer going - nothing will dry otherwise! OH I WANT SOME SUNSHINE!!!!

Maybe I'll have something more positive to say next time......
