hi, my girlfriend and i are considering a move to oz, we were looking at everything in a positive light but ive read a few blogs that are giving me cold feet.
Ive read that work is tight for brickies in perth(im a plumber and wondered if its the same in that trade too) and interest rates are very high, wondered if its the same all around the country(we're thinking of heading to melbourne or adelaide).
id really appreciate any advice cos we sure do need it! especially with parents not happy with us taking their granddaughter away, thanks chris and michelle

My husband is a plumber and your destination is the same as us, although we are now swaying more towards Adelaide after a long time of being 100% convinced about Melbourne! Anyway, I think the job situation is pretty good....or so we have heard. You have to be prepared to start at the bottom until you have completed the relevant courses to become licensed. I'm sure like anywhere in the world, if you have a trade and work hard and have the right attitude...you'll get work.
