right - lets not mope

too many blah posts from me, so I'm going to pick it up a little (thanks Megss)

I'm a lucky bastard really.

I have:

• wonderful beautiful children who make me really proud
• An ex-wife who is being accepting and supportive
• A truly wonderful wife-to-be waiting in Perth
• A lovely (if slightly dysfunctional (aren't they all)) family
• Amazing career prospects
• Lots of money to fund travel and visits in the meantime and house deposits in the future, which lots of people struggle with - I should really remember more often how fortunate I am.
• Good health (although I do have to get a herniated disc sorted out - monday am appt with the physio to see whats what - private medical care will sort out in weeks if I need an op)
• And all I have to do is sit tight and it'll all come to me.

so there - lest I forget - I really do have a good life, this waiting is just a pimple on the backside and I needed reminding of that.

In other news, my OH is looking to move (rude landlord and real estate agent, non stop hassle etc) - we've put an offer on a 4 x 2 house (with air con - aaaaahhh) and offered 6 months rent upfront (well, I may as well use the one thing I do have from here and thats disposable income) - hope she gets accepted - its only 1 street from the beach (rather than where I am now, which is only one street from a load of other streets with houses that look just the same as each other..) - woo!

hopefully she'll hear tomorrow or early next week. Fingers crossed
