Why did I speak so soon!

Merely 90 minutes after my last posting things have changed completely. I had a call from the estate agents saying that the person who was buying the house of the person that is buying our house has pulled out. Apparently they were buying it for her mother who hadn't seen the house until today and she told them she didn't want a house with steps in the garden! What makes it even worse is that someone else was going to put an offer in on the house on the same day as they did and it looks to me like they rushed their offer in just to secure the house. Also, there was someone else who had put an offer in on our house who we rejected since these people had no chain. I can't believe how inconsiderate people are when it comes to house buying. They don't seem to care that they are playing with peoples lives.

So, it's all off again - good job I haven't handed my notice in! The problem is our validation deadline is looming and if this all falls through then that will be £XXX in additional costs.
