after a long time thinking, my husband and 3 children have decided to fill out the application form and post it to the embassy in australia. but before we do, does anyone think we should wait for kids passports to arrive so can put passport numbers on application form or write that we will forward them on later? is anyone getting help from an immigration agency or doing it all themselves? slight worry we have, we cant get my husbands ex to sign a declaration to say we can take sonn out the country as we havent seen her for 11 years(he lives with us) is now 14. dont know where she lives? was told hubbie can sign a statutory declaration? am waiting for call back from solicitor before posting application. advice and suggestions?

i would get all your information and evidence required before you lodge an application. the DIMIA can refuse an application if things are missing. time scales can be given by them to get info but there is sooo much involved.
we are using grist international (as rec'd on here) - jo is fab. however it has taken 2 weeks just to get one statement for our skills assessment, which needs to be passed by australian trades recognition dept before we can even lodge our application.
What visa are you thinking of applying for?
