The Beginning

Ok, theres me, dh and troy our 21 month old son.
My dh is a bobby and i am a building inspector.
We have been toying with the idea since this time last year. We put our house on the market two weeks ago and have decided to go for it.
We initially contacted true blue migration agency who do the no visa no fee route and said they would take us on through the state sponsored visa route on a temp visa for 3 years in south australia.
I emailed go matilda yesterday and had a phonecall today from them at lunchtime.
They were really helpful. They said we may have a chance of getting a 175 independant visa, if i wait until next june to apply for the visa, by which time i will have 3 years post graduate experience. A little annoying as i have been in my job since 1998, just studied alongside the job. But thats life.
I dont know what it was, but i really warmed to go matilda, they seemed really keen and opened up options for us.
My mum is a little upset at our decision as she is so close to my son, she looks after him whilst i work.
However, she is selling up herslf and hopefully getting a pensioners bungalow, which will release equity in her home and mean she can spend plenty of time over there with us.
I am excited, anxious and just cant wait really.
My dh is fed up with his job and is looking for a complete change, and this will hopefully allow that to happen. Now we have made the decision to start the process he has a permanent smile on his face, which is highly unusual!!
