Delighted to say that house is looking much more like home now our stuff's arrived!

We've just endured a 2 week school holiday! It rained EVERY DAY! Apparently this has been the wettest April since the 1930's and the coldest for about 9 years! Being POMS, we're often blamed for bringing the weather with us........if only we where that powerfull!!!

Well the medicals went off without any hitches (19 March). Rang Sydney 2 weeks ago to see if OK and they are all passed so that is a relief. Now the wait for the Police checks carries on. Eventually received 3 of us but no check for husband after 42 days. Next day husband's arrives so posted off to Agent. Now we just sit and wait. Hope it won't be much longer then the stress of selling the house. It is like a never ending catalogue of stressful episodes. Just hope it is all going to be worth...

hi just wanted to know if anyone watched the bbc program a place down under its was years ago now but there was a women who moved to the sunshine coast and started her own business making wigs do u no where in the sunshine coast they were filming ? have just moved to queensland and it doesnt look like the same place .

We have 2 boys and our youngest (who is 18 months) has cystic fibrosis. We are currently applying to Emigrate to Brisbane as we think the climate will give our little boy a better quality of life. We are applying under my husbands work skills and also have a relative who's lived in Canberra for over 20 years as a sponsor so we have enough points to hopefully get us all out there. We are trying to find out as much information about Medicare and healthcare cards etc as no-one seems to know...
