My name is Della, I'm 37 and have a 12 year old daughter. I have been aiming to move to Oz for past 4 years and think now is the right time to start. It seems like an impossible task with my circumstances but going to try my best to achieve my dream. I thought it may help me and my sanity to start a blog. I may feel less alone in the process too (ahh! less of the self pity I think) If it works out then it may help others to have hope too.

Played tennis for 2.5 hrs this morning.....1 hr with a coach. Youch!

There where 4 of us & we all started to seize up in the car on the way home!

Hope i can walk tomorrow!!!

Brrrrrr! NOT JEALOUS AT ALL....of snow in UK!

Well, after my lengthy and rather tedious blog entry yesterday, I will try and keep this one short!

I spent most of yesterday in the car with my mum, with Australia constantly on my mind and not being able to make conversation very well. Its amazing how once you've made the decision to go, everything that interests you changes... talk about future events just seems pointless as your just thinking "i'm not going to be here anyway!"....

So, my mum knows that...

Got up really early today to get ready for the shippers, thing is cant do anything more so sat waiting. Out of all the things weve done even selling the house this is where it has become real for me. Sending our stuff on ahead and having flights booked doesnt come much more real than getting on the plane. Havent sent furniture mainly Martins tools, kids toys and few boxes of sentimental, will be good to have a few familiar things in our new home. Think weve put some added pressure on us going...
