When to open bank account ?

Can I only open a bank account on line once I know the exact dates of travelling over to Oz ? Or can I put in a rough date to get the bank account set up initially and change the details later on ? Would be nice to get another thing ticked off my to do list !!

my date was a guess, so id assume you could do the same and adjust it to suit. the only thing that was stated is that you must travel within a year of opening it.

id put a fictional date of near the middle of Sept then either way you should be close
