Scottyf
Hi all, been reading the forums for around 2-3 years now and now everything has falling into place so I am able to go travelling to Australia for a year on a WHV. Im 29 and a Firefighter so cant wait to get over there in the real heat :twitcy: Today is the first day im starting to make plans and do serious research. Not sure wheres best to fly to first, wheres best to work etc.. Just gonna keep researhcing and reading the forums. Anyone in the same boat feel free to speak up and lets do this! calNgary
We have a few backpackers use the forum, so i am sure you will get some good tips. As to where to go first, that may well boil down to personal preference .. Lots of luck with your adventure Cal x
dannysavagelfc
hi mate, were heading over end of august aswel, were starting in cairns and working our way down, the reason for starting in cairns is it will be winter time when we arrive so its best to start north
Scottyf
Thanks guys. Just told all the family and friends my plans to travel. So that's another step! My mate is there now and he landed in Sydney first ... But I guess it's personal preference. Hopefully I will keep meeting more people and get together some sort of rough plan. My whole life has been structured and planned with the army and fire service so with this stage of my life I want to be as unplanned as I can and go with the flow. Scottyf
Haha you'll be fine. Just pay for your flight ASAP mate they're cheaper now and plus you know your going if you've paid £600 odd out on flights.
