cHEERS Batman ,not sure id say expert but ill help.
For the kids there is more than you can do ,,Jimboomba,Cedar Vale and Cedar Grove are all next to each other ,between them there is a couple of pony clubs , gymnastics, scouts, soccer, rugby, netball,swimming club,little athletics,skate park ,there is loads most meet one or two evenings and weekends,i would imagine Jimboomba school also have after school clubs and it has its own pool but it isnt undercover and can get very hot,it is open to the public weekends and holidays.
Commute wise ,i would say south Brisbane is about 35 min ,it depends were thou ,the nearer you go to the city the worse the traffic gets.Alot of people get work in Ipswich or Slacks creek way,many also commute to gold coast.
