Hiya we have been here a few month now with 2 kids age 3 & 8 yrs ,we settled for Brisbane as it seemed to offer everything we wanted,we are living in Jimboomba on a new land estate called Flagstone ,we wanted to find a happy medium of having space(acerage) and having friends for the kids.We got everything we want here and only 35 min to surfers paradise ,the estate has its own schools and shops,major outlet centres are 15min away ,ive never had to go in the city as everything i want or need is nearer.The estates are a great base if you have kids as they make friends easy ,there are lots being built all over Brisbane if you look on realestate.com,hope this helps a little
