Its file sharing using multiple piers, you download a client (software that sits on your machine) which connects to a central server which maps you to various locations that contain the file downloading a bit from each location. Its quite tricky and you don't always get what you think you're getting. I would recommend limewire which is a bit different to bit torrent but much more user friendly and contains no spy/adware. Make sure your virus software is up to date
