Hope it helps a bit. My daughter has 7 years to go before she reaches your age, so I can't give to much direct info yet :)

In regard to "a general idea what teenagers my age out there are like". Most of them in my area seem pretty pleasant. Hope it stays that way, for when my daughter gets to that level :D
