Hi just to add that for us in Vic there was no need for the eye test, just take in your Uk license fill in the forms, have photo taken and pay the fee. easy really but it is worth reading through the Vic roads driving booklet so that you know about any little differences that there are.
You don't need to apply for a Vic License if you are here on a temporary visa (ie 457) but must do it within 3 months of getting
