Hi again Orynoco

I have just re-read this thread. I am SO sorry. I should have seen that you wrote "Plasterer" not painter & decorator!

The ASRI list is here:

A-Z Occupations List - Australian Skills Recognition Information

There is a choice between Fibrous Plasterer and Solid Plasterer. I will leave you to choose and if you are in doubt, please start another thread and make specific enquiries. Like most women, I haven't a clue about plastering. I've heard Gyprock mentioned in the same sentence as Australia but I don't know what Gyprock is either.

However, as with Painter & Decorator, the skills assessment authority for both types of Plastering is TRA and if need be either ACTS or Sil-ver Tro-wel in Perth (Google it, omitting the hyphens) could help.

You have asked in a PM whether NVQ III would suffice? I am replying publicly because I am not a migration agent and I don't know the answer but someone else who reads this thread will know the answer and can help you with this bit.

Sorry again for not reading your original post properly.

Best wishes

Gill
