Schooner = a glass for beer (smaller than a pint but bigger than a half)
Pot = another glass for beer (slightly smaller than a half... yep, why bother?!)
Thongs = flip flops (although watch out for the Kiwi contingent who call them jandals)
Snag = sausage (typically barbecued)
Sickie = sick day (a national institution, if you don't take at least one a year you're un-Australian!!)
Ambo = ambulance driver
Garbo = bin/refuse collector
Firey = fireman
Bathers/Togs = swimming costume
Banana Bender/Cane Toad = someone from Queensland
Cockroach = someone from New South Wales
Budgie Smugglers = mens trunks/speedos
