I guess the answer will vary from city to city ,as different trades are in demand in different places.In Brisbane jobs along the builder,joiner side of things seem to be advertised alot but then again mechanics are too ,have you trawled through www.seek.com to see whats wanted where ? this may give you a start on things ? A basic tradey wage seems to hover around $25 per hour to start ,and they normally like to take you on casual at first, hope this helps a bit
