Yes the UK media is highlighting the knife, gun & gang crime a lot recently but it's also fair to say that it's got a lot worse in the last year. People, especially young people carry knives not only to commit crimes & to protect themselves but also 'to look big'. The fear of prosecution is gone and so it would appear the guilt & realisation that it is wrong to take someones life.
The thing which is most terrifiying is that the young people carrying guns & knives today are the adults of tomorrow.

Great post Pinhead and well said. I have been reading the online newspapers but found them a bit boring as nothing ever happened. Will go back to reading them again.
