Thanks for info, How much was apartment in pattersons lake and how long did you stay there. we have a base in trafalgar about 2 hrs from Melbourne, but want to stay over night at a few places around Melbourne just to get a feel for locations. Did anywhere stand out for you.

We met up with some other PIOzzers in Mornington when we were out there (Hello if any of you are reading this!) and really liked the look of Mornington which is right on the beach. You would need a car if you stayed here, however you are right on the peninsula, it has some beautiful coastline and beaches and there is holiday accommodation available.
