Wanted to welcome you to PIO. Can't answer your questions regading your jobs but in terms of how long visa's are taking it really depends on the type of visa you are applying for. Having said that it is a case of "how long is a piece of string" - very frustrating the waiting but at least you won't be alone as we are all in the same boat.
