I would go home at the drop of a hat but nothing to do with Canberra per se - it is one of the best places to live here really - close enough to the beach, the snow, the big smoke, the bush and yet within a really nice well planned city. It has defined seasons which are far better than sweltering 52/52. We could do with more rain as we are a tad drought ridden at the moment but the lakes are still there and we make do with tank water and not very much car washing
There is a lot of employment here at the moment but we are waiting to see what, if anything, is the impact of the federal budget earlier in the week. It may make a bit of a dip in real estate prices if the last govt changeover was anything to go by but as we have a bit of a supply problem against the demand these days it probably wont be that much of a problem. You could do a whole lot worse than Canberra really!
