Gov and was told that they were intrested in what he did etc, and would be willing to sponsor us, came as quite a shock as it was a place that we had not even considered as we never visited when we have been over to OZ, but we have been researching the area and sounds quite nice to me, Do you like the area? iv'e seen a few of your threads on here and get the impression you would move back to england at the drop of a hat.( dont mean to be rude by saying that) lol. I would go home at the drop of a hat but nothing to do with Canberra per se - it is one of the best places to live here really - close enough to the beach, the snow, the big smoke, the bush and yet within a really nice well planned city. It has defined seasons which are far better than sweltering 52/52. We could do with more rain as we are a tad drought ridden at the moment but the lakes are still there and we make do with tank water and not very much car washing There is a lot of employment here at the moment but we are waiting to see what, if anything, is the impact of the federal budget earlier in the week. It may make a bit of a dip in real estate prices if the last govt changeover was anything to go by but as we have a bit of a supply problem against the demand these days it probably wont be that much of a problem. You could do a whole lot worse than Canberra really!
