I felt like you too - I have wanted this for 15 years and finally did it 5 weeks ago - honestly - and I know its early days - feel like I've made the biggest mistake of my life! Like you we had a fab life at home, gorgeous house, lovely location, amazing friends, no money worries, good jobs within 5 mins from home, 4 holidays a year - feel like a fool right now. OH job not turned out as hoped, he is a linesman and they have not manged to get his stuff sorted so hence no licence and no prospect of one in the near future by the sounds of it so he is putting up lights and hating every minute. He has been in tears, he just wants to go home so much its heartbreaking. We also got Canberra (only place we could get a job) and its just so boring its untrue which is not helping us at all. My daughter lives in Cairns and at the moment me being in the same country is the only thing keeping us here but we will stick it out for another 6 months and then decide. I saw a post on somewhere the other day saying - you spend your life searching the world for your dream, then you realise you had it at home all along - god I could have cried! Think very carefully and bring plenty money cos you will need it.
