I completely agree with you!

I think some people are in danger of taking the forum much too seriously and need to rediscover a sense of proportion and a sense of humour instead.

Never mind, though! Go and have fun with your boat instead. One of the main reasons why I LOVE sailing (apart from the fact that I love the sheer sport) is that when I am on a boat away from dry land, the boat's needs have to come first, last & always. If someone ashore is in strife but it would take me 10 hours or more to get to a land line phone and a 'puter to do something about it, somebody else will just have to deal with the problem in my absence. Legal clients especially scream the place down in an initial moment of crisis, but they's tough little b****** with an amazing ability to survive, I've alsways observed!
