Of course negative threads have a place here! I used to read negative posts all the time because you have to be realistic! If you don't know the down sides (and there are plenty!) how can you be prepared. IMO anyone that doesn't want to know the negatives just won't survive! We did tonnes of research, came on a reckie, have family here and still some things cheese you off!! Surely people would want to learn from other peoples experiences good or bad???
