Hello Elaine
Thank you very much indeed for this update. It is super to hear that things are moving and at last you will be making progress towards the time when your CPVs will be granted. That is better than hanging around till December before anything even begins.

We Wont Be Able To See Our Family Again Until If And When We Get Visa.

What on earth makes you believe this idea, honey? As long as you are reasonably confident of meeting the medical criteria for the visa, LOADS of Parents simply sell up in the UK and move out to Oz once their CPV applications are in the pipeline. Please see hese threads by SAVTA:

Tony Kidd, a specialist Immigration Law solicitor in Melbourne, acted for SAVTA and her husband on their CPVs. I know and like Tony Kidd. He has a very rational view of risk. Sure there is a risk that calamity might strike if you sell up in the UK and move to Oz before your CPVs are granted. But the risk of a calamity is a small one which should not be exaggerated if you are reasonably healthy at present, in my view. I would not
dream of telling a family to spend a further two years apart from each other.
Our member June Coates applied for her CPV sometime during 2007. Her visa won't be granted until after 1st July 2008. She moved to Oz (Perth) just before Christmas 2007. This is what June said recently on Poms in Oz:

hi everyone.
sorry i havnt been around for a few weeks as i have been busy moving into my new home.my daughter and son in law are buying it and i am renting from them.its so good to have your own little place.i have my fingers crossed that i will be one of the first of many to have visa granted in july.no further news from my case officer yet.for all of you who are waiting patiently as i am,take my advice, bite the bullet and come out on a 12mths visitor visa.i have no regrets and have my family around me and am not sitting in the uk waitng which must seem like an eternity for you all.

I put the "bold" in to highlight the relevant sentence. The whole thread is here:

Since June is in Perth, and one has to be outside Oz when a CP visa is granted, June will simply go to Bali or Singapore for about 5 days when her CO is ready to grant her CPV, exactly as happened with SAVTA. Parents based in the Eastern half of Oz just go to Auckland for 5 days instead.
Even if you do not want to sell up in this very sluggsh market, there is nothing to stop you from spending as long as you want to in Australia during the wait.
Please don't hesitate to sing out if you want to know more about either possibility.
Best wishes
Gill
