Dogs are resilient,our boxer Bradley aka goat ( stubborn as one) got to 12 when he had a lump on his back leg, had it for years but it becane cancerous, vet took it off, but the burga was aggressive so he had to have it amputated but at 12 he still managed to hop about. It gave him 18 months till he got one in his front leg, I know where you are at, its a crappy time
