Hi Sian,

My daughter was 11 when she arrived and is now 14, she did year 7 here (primary) and is now in year 8, so this is here second school. She's loved both so far. She made friends pretty quickly, although we knew which school she was coming to and the principle had set up a pen pal for her before we arrived so she was able to ask lots of questions, via msn her pen pal introduced her to some more class mates, so when she started school she felt as if she knew a few people. People were friendly and she didn't have any problems.

I don't know about all schools, but I know that at Alex's high school they do Drama and Dance so I'm sure it's available at alot of schools.

Good luck with your 'adventure', remember to talk to your parents too if you have any worries - you'll probably find they have the same ones, I know I was scared about leaving my friends and starting a new job too
