Hi I am new to the site and I think it is great with very helpful friendly people. I haven't been able to help anyone yet but on this I think I might be able to. Rio Tinto have an office in London and they recruit for their sites around the world, they help with relocation etc. Yes dump truck drivers are paid a fortune as are the other mine workers.
There is a mine in WA that is near a place called Tom Price and I think it is called the Hamersley mine. Tom Price is 2 days drive from Perth but one of the perks of working with Rio is that you get so many free flights a year, it takes about 4 1/2 hrs.
My step-father works there and has done for a lot of years.
My husband and I are in the process of applying to live there with my Mum and Dad.
