The cat in question is only about a 1 year old if that makes a difference....
Thanks

Hi
We have just brought over 3 cats from the UK.
We used a shipping company who basically did all the leg work for us... paper work, booking flights, booking kennels, vet checks etc and even the crates... all we did is sat back and handed over the dosh!!!
the cats flew with quantas direct to perth via singapore... they were then picked up from the airport by Byford quarrentine and taken straight there. once at the kennels they were each put in a cell (as ours go mental with confind space and we thought it better they went mental allown rather then on each other!!)
They had to stay in quarrentine for one month (i know if a cat comes from South Africa they have 3 months...i think it depends on where you are coming from)... they were very well looked after and put on too much weight!! lol
Then this weekend they were released and are fine ... no ill effects.
One thing, as 2 of our cats were bengals we had to provide paperwork regarding their family history... to ensure they were more than 6 generations removed from the 'jungle' bengal cat.... whether it is the same for all pedigree breads i do not know.
With regards the cost... it works out per cat about £1000. this includes kennels in uk prior to flight, crates, vet checks, out of hours work, flights and quarrentine...
hope that helps
min x
