Hi Chazer,
Don't worry about the flight - statistics say that its safer in a plane than driving on the roads, make sure you have your gameboy or similar for the flight, there will be plenty of movies to watch on the flight and time will go real quick.
It's easy to keep in contact with your mates via telephone,msn,video link,letters,parcels etc & yes its also easy to make new friends here in Oz, my 14 year old daughter has stacks of friends (it costs me a fortune in birthday presents & sleep overs LOL) Nikki had loads of new mates on her first day at school here - so dont worry.

As for mum & dad and the forms, well, not much i can do or say there, perhaps you could offer to wipe the dishes or do some other chores if they get on with the forms try & do a deal with them
